I am thankful for all those difficult people in my life; they have shown me exactly who I do not want to be. –Anonymous

It’s nice to see that Montana is putting steps in place to make it easier for military members and overseas residents to vote.
Montana Secretary of State Linda McCulloch should be congratulated for her work on this problem.
You can check out the information by clicking HERE. It looks pretty simple. A story about it can be viewed HERE.
Although military members could always vote, it was difficult to get your ballots from the State you were voting in time and to get them back. Who knows if they were counted.
Many years ago when I was stationed in the military overseas, I requested my ballot about a month before the election from the state in which I was a resident. They arrived a week after the election.
Thousands of military members and their families have run into the same problems, and it’s a slap in the face for those serving in the military not to be able to vote.
Hopefully Montanans serving in the military and living overseas will find this new system easy to navigate and more people will participate in the process.
It all starts October 4 when absentee voting begins.
