SEPTEMBER 11, 2001:
Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001. While it feels like just yesterday that our nation was attacked, a full 25 years have now passed.
Established on December 18, 2001, Patriot Day (Sept. 11) reminds us to always honor the innocent lives lost on that fateful morning. Please join me today in praying for those who perished, the families they left behind, and the continued strength and unity of our country.
MONTANA U.S. SENATE DEBATES:
I saw a Facebook post from U.S. Senate candidate Alani Bankhead (D-MT) listing seven scheduled debates in the Montana U.S. Senate race.
Supposedly, Republican Kurt Alme failed to show up for last night’s debate in Glendive. (Source) Since Alme leads in the polls, there’s really no reason for him to debate and risk making a mistake, no matter how much it pisses off his opponents.

MONTANA’S 2ND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT:
I saw a report from MTN News about Brian Miller, the Democratic nominee in Montana’s 2nd Congressional District, filing a lawsuit in state court in Lewis and Clark County this week. He’s asking a judge to rule that independent candidate Michael Eisenhauer shouldn’t have been certified for the ballot.
The reason for the lawsuit is that there is an investigation into potentially fraudulent signatures on the petitions that qualified two independent congressional candidates for Montana’s November ballot.
The cold, hard fact is that this race won’t be that competitive. Whether you like incumbent Troy Downing (R) or not, he will probably run away with the race. The way the Second District was drawn, it’s strongly Republican and has a lot of MAGA Republicans. Downing is a Trump loyalist.
TRUMP’S LATEST BRIBE:
On Wednesday, President Donald Trump promised to give every adult American citizen a $5,000 check if the Republican Party wins control of both chambers of Congress in the upcoming November midterm elections. (Source)
Speaking at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas, Trump framed the proposed payout as a “Trump dividend”, claiming it is justified by the country’s “tremendous economic success.” (Source)
Someone asked, “Why do we only get $5,000 and Natalie (Harp), Trump’s personal staffer, gets $45,000?”
These dividends and refunds are starting to add up. We had the “DOGE” money ($5,000). There were the “Tariff Refund” checks ($2,000). There were “Healthcare Rebates” ($1,000 – $1,500) promised.
I have not seen any of these checks yet. How about you?
If I get all of these, I might be able to fill up my vehicle with gas!
