WHO IS CLAITEN GUSLER:

My friends over at the What the Funk 406 blog have posted an interesting story titled,

“Who is Claiten Gusler and Why Is He Sponsoring a Pinocci Billboard in Great Falls?”

WTF406 has uncovered some interesting information about Gusler. Check out the story HERE

NANCY OLSZEWSKI:

Nancy Olszewski is the wife of Dr. Al Olszewski, who is running for Congress in Montana’s western district (MT-01). Mrs. Olszewski has made several campaign videos in support of her husband.

A recent video caught my eye. She talks about Congressman Ryan Zinke deploying DC Congressional aides to the Flathead Valley for one of her husband’s opponents, Aaron Flint.

Mrs Olszewski uses a whiteboard to get her message out, writing on it that these aides get airfare, baggage, rental cars, and food. Plus, there’s a rodeo, a Glacier Park trip, and a party at Zinke’s home.

They could have sold me on the trip by just offering free food.

She writes that this is another example of the extreme measures DC will go to in order to get their anointed successor elected.

DC “aides” coming to Montana to help campaign are nothing new in the campaign world. They are probably on leave and are certainly not being paid by the taxpayers to do this. There will be thousands of “aides” doing the same thing all across the fruited plains during the primary season and especially the weeks leading up to the General Election.

Campaign assistance is a non-issue that only draws criticism from those who do not benefit from it. So, in my opinion, it’s a nothingburger.

BIPARTISANSHIP:

You don’t see the members of the Montana State Senate agree on much. Still, a little bit of bipartisanship showed up this week when 40 out of 50 State Senators from both parties signed onto a letter calling on Sen. Jonathan Windy Boy, D-Box Elder, to resign. (Source)

NBC Montana is reporting that Windy Boy has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment, including claims of sending sexually inappropriate messages to a minor. He’s denied any wrongdoing.

According to reporting from the Helena Independent Record (IR), Windy Boy, who has not been charged with a crime related to any of the allegations, has so far resisted those calls to resign.

CAMPAIGN MAILERS UPDATE:

On Tuesday, I reported that I had received 72 campaign mailers during the primary election season.

Since then, I have received four more mailers, bringing the total to 76 mailers.

Please make sure you recycle the campaign literature!

TRUMP STUFF:

There are plans to create a $250 bill with Donald Trump’s photo on it. It’s for the 250th anniversary of the United States. First, Congress will have to pass “H.R.1761 – Donald J. Trump $250 Bill Act” (Source) because federal law prevents living persons from appearing on U.S. currency—a rule established in 1866. (Source)

People can’t afford gas, groceries, healthcare, etc. Meanwhile, our government is working on a $250 bill with Trump’s photo. Ridiculous.

The 2026 Iran War has been going on for three months (as of yesterday). It started on February 28, 2026.

People may remember that President Trump said the war would last four to five weeks. (Source) On April 1, Trump said it would end in three days. (Source)

ONE MORE THING:

I feel like Willie Nelson has been the same age my whole life.
