THE WESTERN WORD POLL:
Governor Greg Gianforte (R-MT) just completed his first year in office. To mark the occasion, he gave a speech and held a press conference in Helena. Here are some articles about his speech HERE and HERE.
This week’s poll question asks, “Do you approve or disapprove of the first year of the Gianforte Administration?”

MONTANA STATE BOBCATS:
It was ugly and an ass-kicking. The North Dakota State Bison whipped the Montana State Bobcats 38-10 for the FCS National Championship.
The Bobcats started well on their first possession, but then their quarterback was injured and left the game after only a few plays. Then, the Bison completed a third and 14 on their first possession and that seemed to open the floodgates.
It was 28-0 at the half and it was naptime.
The Bobcats can be proud of their accomplishments this season. The Bison have a program like few others and have won nine championships since 2011. They are 41-3 in the FCS playoffs since 2010.

FOOTBALL! FOOTBALL!
Hey, football fans – don’t forget the College Football Playoffs (CFP) National Championship game is tonight (Monday, Jan. 10).
It’s Georgia versus Alabama. The game starts at 6:00 pm Montana time. The game will be televised on ESPN. (Info)
The NFL playoff teams are set with this past weekend providing some exciting games. Check out the playoff schedule HERE. As a reminder, there will be a playoff game next Monday night (Jan. 17).
My Chiefs will host the Steelers Sunday night on NBC.

I was waiting for someone to address the let’s go Brandon childish nonsense. It doesn’t even rise to the level of junior high insult. I know. I taught junior high for many years. Yet the MAGAs giggle their asses off every time they hear it. How do you deal with people of such low IQ? How do you impress upon them that it’s so stupid no one cares? Well, this guy does it. Masterfully.
Larry – it is childish, but what do you expect? I addressed the “Brandon” bullshit a month or so ago:
“By the way, for those of you still calling Biden ‘Brandon,’ you do realize that ‘Brandon’ beat your boy, right?”

I remember. And yet they persist. Go figure. I seriously don’t get it, and I have a highly developed sense of junior high humor. I had a whole repertoire of bad jokes. The kids loved them.
