These topics caught my attention in the last 24 hours:
- Impeachment
- Fox News
- TWW Facebook/Twitter Pages
IMPEACHMENT:
On Tuesday the Democrats in the House announced there would be two articles of impeachment against President Trump.
The Republicans in the House held their own press conference basically saying there’s nothing there.
Last night Trump held a MAGA rally in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he said, “People are saying they’re (Articles of Impeachment) not even a crime,” and “This is the lightest, weakest impeachment.” (The Hill)
But to throw some cold water on everyone, Reuters reported that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell raised the prospect on Tuesday of a short Senate impeachment trial for President Donald Trump in which no witnesses would be called.
If I read the Reuters article correctly, after the two sides state their case, if 51 senators (a majority of the 100) decide they have heard enough, they could vote on the articles.
That would be just like McConnell to ruin the fun for everyone.
FOX NEWS:
It seems Fox News is a tough place for women to work.
Variety is reporting that Britt McHenry, a host for Fox News’ Fox Nation streaming-video outlet, filed suit against the network and its corporate parent Tuesday, alleging she has been denied opportunities at the company after reporting claims she was harassed sexually by a former co-host, George Murdoch, who is also known as Tyrus.
I’m not sure how many sexual harassment suits have been filed against Fox News, but the New York Times reports:
The lawsuit is the latest sexual harassment claim to hit Fox News, which was rocked by a drumbeat of allegations by female employees that led to millions of dollars in settlements and the departure of its chairman and chief executive, Roger Ailes, in 2016 and its highest-rated host, Bill O’Reilly, in 2017.
It looks like the leaders of Fox News would try to correct this problem.

Please do not think I do not enjoy your blog. But, but, There is nothing fun about trying to insure the integrity of our elections. Also I am of the opinion that Facebook is a harmful data miner. Do you really want to run the executive department of the United States from twitter ? Just the name twitter makes me cringe. We need honest dialog , not tweets (that is what birds do).
John – Thanks. I enjoy Twitter and I think it’s a very important tool in today’s world. Thanks, JmB
thanks Mike I will take another look at twitter.
