You have to be odd to be number one. – Dr. Seuss
Welcome to “Thursday Numbers!” In case you’re a first-time visitor, this is the weekly column where I take a look at the numbers that are in the news (in descending order) and provide commentary sometimes sprinkled with sarcasm and humor.
This week’s topics include the Farm Bill, border wall funding, Stormy Daniels, unemployment, Arrowhead Stadium, world’s oldest skydiver, special counsel’s approval, Trump’s job approval, bowl games, Michael Cohen, and much more!

Everybody gets a new tractor or combine…
Just kidding. It’s nice to see them pass this bill – very important for our nation’s farmers and ranchers. Is it perfect? No.

Faithful readers – I need a favor! Send me $500 – Mexico will pay you back…

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s once-devoted lawyer and all-around fixer, was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison after telling a federal judge that his “blind loyalty” to his boss led him to cover up Trump’s “dirty deeds.” The judge also ordered Cohen to pay $1.39 million in restitution to the IRS, forfeit $500,000 and pay $100,000 in fines. He was ordered to report to prison March 6. (AP)
The AP added this tidbit – Cohen is the first and, so far, only member of Trump’s circle during two years of investigations to go into open court and implicate the president in a crime, though whether a president can be prosecuted under the Constitution is an open question.
