Montana Campaign Money:

It does not take as much money to run a campaign in Montana as in some other states, but this year some of the Montana candidates are raising significant amounts.

The Associated Press reported that new campaign finance reports show Democrat Kathleen Williams raised $1 million more than Republican U.S. Rep. Greg Gianforte over the last fundraising period. This is the U.S. House –Montana At-Large race.

I believe Gianforte will loan his campaign some big bucks in the last couple of weeks to get across the finish line. He will do this toward the end of the campaign so as not to give his opponent more ammo to use against him.

As for the big race at the top of the ticket this year, MTN News reports Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester reported raising $3.8 million during the past three months, pushing his fundraising total to $18 million for the entire campaign – easily a state record.

MTN News also reports that Tester’s main opponent, State Auditor Matt Rosendale, raised $1.95 million during the third quarter, but his campaign total is still far behind Tester, at just under $4 million.

As for comparisons, in the Texas U.S. Senate race Democrat Beto O’Rourke raised $38 million in the third quarter, while Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz raised $12 million. (The Hill)

It looks like everyone will have plenty of money in the final weeks…

The Bus Tour:

Lee Newspapers reports that Donald Trump, Jr., and his friend Kimberly Guilfoyle are coming back to Montana to do a two-day multi-city bus tour for Senate candidate Matt Rosendale. The dates are October 27-28. The itinerary will be released later.

I’ll bet they will be traveling on a nice bus…

Stormy & Donald:

A Federal judge threw out the defamation lawsuit filed by Stormy Daniels against Donald Trump. Daniels will have to pay the legal fees. (The Hill)

After that was disclosed, Trump acted like a middle school child who still liked Stormy and called her “Horseface” on Twitter.

I don’t think Trump knows how to talk to women.

Stormy responded by calling Donald “tiny.” Ouch.

Although Trump may win in the courtroom, Daniels owns him on Twitter.

This is gonna be fun to watch…

Now Hear This:

Several sources including CNN are reporting that recreational marijuana is now legal all over Canada.

Here are the details:

As of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, adults will be allowed to carry and share up to 30 grams of legal marijuana in public, according to a bill that passed the Senate in June. They will also be allowed to cultivate up to four plants in their households and make products such as edibles for personal use.
Consumers must be at least 18 years old, and the production, distribution or sale of cannabis products is an offense for minors.

The Federal Government of the United States needs to do the same the thing.

Mega Millions:

Nobody won the $667 million Mega Millions jackpot Tuesday night. One ticket won $5 million and eight tickets won $1 million each – which is not too bad for consolation prizes.

The jackpot will be an estimated $868 million for the next drawing which is Friday night.

So yes, I’m telling you there’s a chance!

Good luck!
