Terrific News Tuesday

The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it. – Henry David Thoreau

Welcome to Terrific News Tuesday (TNT)!

In case this is your first time reading TNT, this column is all about good news. I know it’s hard to believe, but I won’t be complaining or criticizing anyone or anything in this column today – just writing about some terrific news that caught my attention!

Here is some of the good stuff in this edition of TNT:

  • Representative
  • Summer
  • Military Jeep
  • Joey the Squirrel

The good news is that for the first time in about six months, Montana will have a Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives. Greg Gianforte will take the oath of office Wednesday.

Ahead of his swearing in, Gianforte has named several top staffers for his U.S. House office. See who they are by clicking HERE.

The good news is that summer will begin at 10:24 p.m. MDT on June 20, according to KRTV in Great Falls.

Let’s be safe out there!

1945 Willys Military Jeep:

MTN News reported that an 87-year-old U.S. Marine Corps veteran received a special surprise on Saturday. Jerry Scherer was gifted back a fully-restored Jeep that he had originally owned after he got out of the service.

This is a neat story – read the rest of it HERE.

Joey the Squirrel:

The Associated Press reported that a pet squirrel named Joey who gained fame as a crime-fighter might be more of the lover type. Joey, who police credited with scaring off a burglar trying to break into his home’s gun safe, made his long goodbyes earlier this month, then scampered up a backyard apple tree at his Meridian, Idaho, home and hasn’t been seen since.
