Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Welcome to the big show to end the week “Caught My Eye” (CME)!
If you are a first-time visitor, CME is posted right here every Friday morning. This is when I take a look at some of the stories I did not have time to write about during the week. I often throw in a touch of sarcasm to make you smile – or to irritate you just a little – maybe both.
Topics that I am providing commentary on today include Ryan Zinke and the horse, Greg Gianforte and the House, GF Police Department and Coercion, the Committee to Defend the President, the Montana Legislature and Daylight Saving Time, and much more!

Welcome to Friday and the big show I like to call “Caught My Eye!”
If you are a first-time visitor, “Caught My Eye” is posted here every Friday morning. This column is where I take a look at some of the stories I did not have time to write about during the week. Sometimes I throw in a touch of snarkiness to make you smile – or to irritate you just a little – maybe both.
Today’s topics include the GOP Presidential debates, Malmstrom’s Visitors, Chester and the Chester Cheetah, Daines & Planned Parenthood, Gianforte donations, and much more so buckle up!
On Tuesday Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush announced that he was going to “actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States.” With that announcement, Bush kind of jump-started the 2016 Presidential election season.
Are you ready?
With it being an open seat, that means there should be several candidates on the Republican side and several on the Democratic side “testing the water” in the coming months.
Below I have posted one of those fabulous polls from The Western Word – so pick your favorite candidate on the Republican side. If your Republican candidate is not listed, please put his/her name in the comment section or send me an e-mail.
Welcome to the last Friday of June and to another exciting edition of “Caught My Eye.”
If you are a first-time visitor, this is my weekly column where I take a quick look at some of the stories I did not have time to write about during the week. I often throw in some sarcasm and poke fun at people just to make you smile.
Today I write about Daines sending a letter, a hoedown with Max, Jon, and Steve, Medicaid, airport parking, Wendy Davis, Senate immigration bill, and lots more – plus I have three winners on this week’s Making Montana Proud list!
Watch out – today is Friday the 13th. Maybe you should just take the day off?
Today I am posting the 90th edition of Caught My Eye. Caught My Eye is posted every Friday morning right here! In this column I take a quick look at some of the stories I did not have time to comment about during the week – and I often throw in a touch of sarcasm just to make you smile…
ADVISORY: Everyone and everything is fair game…
Today I write about Tester/Rehberg fundraising, the postal service, the Veterans Administration, planning ahead, Perry v. Schweitzer, rent a celebrity, my book, rocket man, I peek inside my political inbox and share, and there’s a lot more!
The weather may be getting colder all across the fruited plains, but it’s heating up in the political world. More and more political ads are being released as we get closer to the 2012 Election and here at The Western Word (TWW) we’re searching for them every day.
Here at TWW we’re going to try to publish as many of them as we can find, so if you see a political ad, drop me an e-mail with the link to it (firstname.lastname@example.org) so I can publish it – and we can all enjoy it.
Today we have six videos for your viewing pleasure! I’ve posted videos from the U.S. Chamber about Sen. Jon Tester, one from Rick Perry about insider trading, one about Jon Huntsman’s leadership skills, one showing Newt Gingrich’s best lines, one about Ron Paul’s plans to stop the financial crisis and finally, one that tells us that Washington could learn a lot from a drug dealer!
