Welcome to Friday – TGIF!  We are now 60 days from Election Day and this Sunday/Monday the rest of the National Football League teams kick off their season – and college football season is well underway – so there’s plenty of “sports” to watch from now until November!

Campaign 2012: DNC Convention

The Democratic National Convention (DNC) started yesterday in Charlotte, North Carolina, and there were some great speeches delivered throughout the afternoon and into the evening.  If you like great speeches it was well worth watching!

Campaign 2012: Tuesday Feels Like Monday

Welcome to Tuesday!  I know it feels like Monday!  Since my column on Friday, there has been a lot happening in the political world – it was a busy weekend just keeping up with it!

Typically Labor Day is the time when the campaigns kick into high gear and voters start noticing.  With about 63 days until Election Day, it is crunch time!  You’ll see more columns here at The Western Word – more than my typical one per day, five days a week!  I am going into overdrive – so you should subscribe to keep up!
