TRAVELING MAN:

Since U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) is not running for reelection, he has time to travel for President Trump during the U.S. Senate’s August recess. 

According to some press reports from overseas, I believe that Daines has visited Japan, China, and Kyrgyzstan. (Source)(Source)(Source)

Once his term wraps up in January 2027, maybe Daines can turn all this traveling into a full-time gig working for his buddy, Donald Trump.

DATA CENTERS:

President Trump said Monday that communities that do not want AI data centers will suffer economically.  He added, “The only reason that communities throughout the U.S.A. should not want Data Centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor.” (Source)

If they want to be successful and rich, with far lower taxes and jobs all over the place, let Data Reign. The good news is that there are plenty of other places that want them. If we kill the Golden Goose, you will only have yourselves to blame. China could not be happier with this anti Data Center movement. Actually, they can’t believe it is happening! President DJT

TRUMP’S BALLROOM:

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting that a divided (5-4) Supreme Court on Monday allowed the White House to continue construction on a $400 million ballroom project as lawsuits play out, a win for President Donald Trump as he flexes unprecedented executive power and remakes the capital in his image.

The AP also reported that the temporary order was signed by Chief Justice John Roberts, assigned to handle appeals from the capital. But he publicly disagreed with the latest decision, writing a strong dissent that said the project is likely unlawful because it hasn’t been approved by Congress. 

I think Roberts is correct. Like many things that Trump has done in his Presidency, he has created a tasteless mess. 

ONE MORE THING: 

This 85-year-old woman went on a blind date with a 92-year-old man. She came home very frustrated, and her daughter said, “Mom, what’s wrong?” She said, “I had to slap him three times.”
