CAMPAIGN MAILERS UPDATE:

Because I am a political nerd, I keep track of the campaign literature received during the campaign season. Some of the better mailers get shown on The Western Word. (See below)

There is one week left until Montana’s Primary Election Day on June 2.

On Friday, I reported that I had received 65 campaign mailers through Thursday, May 21.

Since then, I received seven more!

So that brings the total for this primary campaign season to 72 campaign mailers.

That is through Monday (May 25).

Please make sure you save your mailers and recycle them!

SD 12 & HD 23:

I live in Senate District 12/House District 23, so I have received a ton of campaign mailers regarding the race between Republicans George Nikolakakos and Randy Pinocci.

Some mailers even group Republican Eric Tilleman (HD-23) in with Nikolakakos. Tilleman is running for reelection. Tilleman and Nikolakakos are considered RINOs by the Gods of the Montana Republican Party, which means they put their constituents ahead of the party.

Here are two of my favorite mailers, so far. Click HERE and HERE to view.

THE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

Around 4:18 a.m. Eastern Time, on Memorial Day, President Donald Trump posted a Memorial Day message on his social media page:

Happy Memorial Day to all, including the Dumocrats, who disrespect our Military and all of the tremendous success that it has had over the last year. God Bless those that have made the ultimate sacrifice. I love you all! President DONALD J. TRUMP

By saying “Happy Memorial Day,” Trump shows the country he has no idea what the day is about.

Memorial Day is about mourning our military personnel who died in the line of duty. Politics should take a backseat on Memorial Day.

Later in the day, Trump appeared at Arlington National Cemetery, where he participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Later, he gave a speech. Before his speech, Trump appeared to fall asleep while listening to others speak. (Source)

Trump is 79 and too old to be President of the United States.

TEXAS SENATE RUNOFF:

Today, Texans try again to nominate a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in a primary runoff election.

The race is between incumbent U.S. Senator John Cornyn and state Attorney General Ken Paxton. Paxton was recently endorsed by President Trump. Cornyn has been in the U.S. Senate since 2002.

Paxton seems to be leading in most polls I have seen. The race may be over early. Websites: Cornyn. Paxton.

ONE MORE THING:

My friend has a bad stutter, and by the time he told us his Nanna had died, we were all singing, “Hey Jude.”
