Candidate profile… 

The Montana Free Press (MTFP) has published a candidate profile on Republican Christi Jacobsen, who is running in Montana’s Western Congressional District (MT-01) to replace Ryan Zinke. 

One part of the profile of Jacobsen was interesting:

Only one politician can claim to have shared a Montana ballot with Donald Trump and received more votes — twice — and that’s the state’s top elections official, Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen.

Lander Busse…

Last week was not a good week for Congressional candidate Ryan Busse. The New York Post reported the following about his son (Lander):

A wannabe congressman has been slammed for his son’s abhorrent social media posts that frequently expressed anti-Semitic views, including a “Heil Hitler” reference and “f—k Israel” comments.

Lander Busse — whose father Ryan Busse is running to replace Republican Rep. Ryan Zinke in Montana — is a self-proclaimed “anti-Zionist” who has mocked political support of Tel Aviv and responding to a rabbi seeking a conversation to talk out their differences with “f—k you.” 

It did not take long for the Montana media to pick up the story, HERE.

One of my faithful readers pointed out there’s a new Facebook page called “Tryon Rick,” and the description says, “I am one of the Great Falls Good Ol’ Boys, I failed to make Great Falls great again.”

MONTANA STATE FAIR:

Ah, spring in Montana: when the state fair headliners are announced and everyone on social media suddenly becomes a talent scout. 

Here is the lineup:

• Ian Munsick (Monday, July 27)
• John Crist (Tuesday, July 28)

As a baby boomer, I would love to see REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, and Styx every year, but it’s not going to happen. They only have so much money to spend.
