Quote for the Day…

In today’s column, I take a quick look at these people/issues:
- Heart Butte Basketball
- Truth Social
- It’s Twos Day
- The Western Word Poll
HEART BUTTE BASKETBALL:
Montana Right Now reported this week that family and friends are reacting after a video making the rounds on social media appears to show a Town Pump employee refusing to let the ladies basketball team from Heart Butte, buy snacks from the gas station in Conrad. It happened late Thursday night when the bus carrying the basketball team was on their way home from the district tournament in Conrad.
Montana Right Now reported that Bill McGladdery, the Director of Corporate Communications for Town Pump, told them they regret what happened last night. “This one thing is not who town pump is or who all of our team members are – it’s not who we are,” McGladdery said.
He also apologized.
The sad thing is that for all the good Town Pump does across the state, this employee ruined that image with his actions.

TRUTH SOCIAL:
Bloomberg and several other sources are reporting that Donald Trump’s new social media network, Truth Social, got off to a rocky start on its launch day, with some users being unable to register and others receiving error messages.
Bloomberg also reported that the app, launched on Presidents’ Day and which has been reported to be tested since December, is also telling users there is a lengthy waiting list to sign up.

IT’S TWOS DAY:
Today is Tuesday, February 22, 2022. In other words, it’s 2/22/22.
I think I will buy a lottery ticket today…
THE WESTERN WORD POLL:
This week’s poll asks, “Do you agree with the Ex-officer Kim Potter receiving a two-year sentence for the killing of Daunte Wright?” (Source)
Results will be posted later this week.
