Quote for the Day…
Never stop doing your best just because someone doesn’t give you credit. – Unknown
In today’s column, I take a quick look at these people/issues:
- Ukraine
- Biden vs Doocy
- The Western Word Poll
- Reading Assignments
UKRAINE:
The boys are flexing…
The Associated Press (AP) is reporting that the Pentagon ordered 8,500 troops on higher alert Monday to potentially deploy to Europe as part of a NATO “response force” amid growing concern that Russia could soon make a military move on Ukraine. President Joe Biden consulted with key European leaders, underscoring U.S. solidarity with allies there.
Surely we won’t go to war over Ukraine, will we? Why would/should we?
I kind of like the peace we have now after two long wars that cost us too many lives and too much money.
You can read the AP story HERE.
You can read the Reuters view HERE.
BIDEN VS DOOCY:
Just as Donald Trump battled with CNN’s Jim Acosta, it appears that Joe Biden has a problem with Fox News reporter Peter Doocy.
It is being reported that Biden was caught on a hot mic calling Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” at a White House event. I’m not sure if he followed it up with, “get off my lawn” after that.
Trump was for sure an angry old man with the press. Biden is right there with him. The difference is that Biden does not lie like Trump. Both are too old and cranky to be President.
You can read the report from Yahoo News HERE.
THE WESTERN WORD POLL:
The final four teams in the NFL playoffs are set. They are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals from the AFC, and the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers from the NFC.
This week’s poll question asks, “Which two teams will meet in the Super Bowl?”
The results will be posted later this week.

In regard to the reading assignment about the Billings school district and one (1) parent trying to get books off the library shelves – In all these cases you just have to shake your head at what a poor parent the complainant must be who can’t stay on top of what their own kids read, so think they need to trample other parent’s rights and dictate what the entire student body is allowed to read or watch or hear. Right, left, religious, whatever, the self-righteous busybodies are all the same. And then cry like a stuck pig about censorship in media or big tech.
Terry – I agree. I read this morning that the school board “unanimously” voted to keep the books in the high school library:

No cure for stupidity. These truckers are just “so brave” to be protesting. Sheesh. I thought Canadians were smarter than that.
