THE WESTERN WORD POLL:
Results will be posted later this week!
MT LEGISLATURE DRESS CODE:
The Republican clowns in charge of the Montana Legislature decided to bring back a dress code because a Democrat did not wear a tie on the House floor.
The horror! The horror!
Here is an idea: Stop wasting time.
The Associated Press reported:
Republicans said Thursday they wanted to cement the tie-wearing expectation in House rules, but by making an issue of requiring ties for men they also brought back what some feel are sexist requirements for women. The proposed code says women “should be sensitive to skirt lengths and necklines” while saying they can wear suits or dresses.
Once again, the Republican-controlled state legislature is embarrassing Montana.
BLAME IT ON THE WIND:
In case you missed it, President Joe Biden fell going up the stairs as be boarded Air Force One on Friday – two or three times depending on how you look at it.
Some media outlets said the liberal media did not cover the story very well. I first saw it on Reuters and then watched it on the NBC Nightly News Friday night.
I fell last year on two steps outside my home. I was trying to read my mail, walk, and talk to my neighbor. I was freaking sore for several days, and it took months for my shoulder to recover. I feel for ya, Joe. Luckily there were no photographers present to record my fall. I bet it would have been very funny.
The White House said the wind was gusting. Please. The President was trying to run up the stairs and tripped. That was it. It could have been worse if he fell down the stairs.
Then the memes started. My favorite was the one that showed him on an “Easy Climber Stair Lift” going up the stairs to Air Force One. The New York Post has that one and a few other memes HERE.
I can laugh at any President – Republican or Democrat. Being independent makes it easy.

For a legislature which has given a lot of lip service to “personal freedoms” this session, they sure have spent a lot of time either proposing or passing measures that curtail the personal freedoms of others, including now the dress choices of their own members. We don’t want to be forced to wear a mask to protect public health dammit, but God forbid some member should show up to work without a tie which protects nothing but these Repubs’ petty control freak instincts.
