Thursday Numbers

As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake. – Unknown

Welcome to “Thursday Numbers!” In case you’re a first-time visitor, this is the weekly column where I take a look at the numbers that are in the news (in descending order) and provide commentary sometimes sprinkled with sarcasm and humor.

This week’s topics include a lucky player in Florida, unemployment, Kobe Bryant, Iowa Democratic Caucuses, Articles of Impeachment, Leap Year, State of the Union viewers, Rush & Donald, Kansas City Chiefs, State of the Union length, and much more!

No one worked harder than Kobe Bryant on the basketball court. But he also devoted much of his time to the Make-a-Wish Foundation and helped grant more than 200 wishes during his time with the Lakers. (CBS News)

We should try to be more like Kobe…

95.18

The Iowa Democratic Caucuses were Monday night. In checking the latest results from the Des Moines Register, 95.18% of the precincts are reporting.

At least that is what it showed Wednesday night around 10:00 p.m. MT.

In case you missed it, there are 29 days in February this year and 366 days in this year. That makes it a “Leap Year.” The next leap year is in 2024. (TimeandDate.com)

You learn the neatest things from reading The Western Word…

Maybe people are growing tired of Donald…

During the State of Union speech Tuesday night, President Donald Trump presented conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Trump had his third wife, Melania, present the award to Limbaugh in the House gallery. Limbaugh was accompanied by his fourth wife.

For the “Family Values” folks keeping score at home, Trump is on his third wife and Limbaugh is on his fourth.

In case you missed it, my Kansas City Chiefs won their second Super Bowl on Sunday!

You’ve got to fight for your right to party!
