One big difference between men and women is that if a woman says “smell this” it usually smells nice. – Unknown
Today’s quick hits deal with these important subjects:
- Mueller, Mueller
- Trump’s Plastic Straws
- One More Thing
MUELLER, MUELLER:
Wednesday is going to be a big day for the media as former special counsel Robert Mueller is set to testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees. He was subpoenaed.
The cable news channels will be covering it, and I heard that CBS News will cover it on their broadcast station.
USA Today reported late Monday afternoon that the Justice Department warned Mueller that his upcoming congressional testimony should not stray from the written conclusions outlined in the 448-page final report of the two-year investigation into Russian election interference.
I wonder what Trump’s Justice Department is afraid of? It’s nice that Trump has a whole Justice Department protecting him.
The only question I want Mueller to answer is this one: If someone other than the President of the United States had done what Trump did, would he/she have been indicted?
Overall I imagine the Democrats who want to find a smoking gun will go home disappointed Wednesday.
TRUMP’S PLASTIC STRAWS:
The Trump’s reelection campaign store has sold more than 140,000 plastic straws in just a few days, President Trump’s 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted Monday. Parscale first promoted the plastic straws on Thursday in response to what the campaign website calls an alternative to “liberal plastic straws.” (The Hill)
The Trump campaign is selling a pack of 10 straws for $15. Of course, the straws have Trump’s name on them. I’m sure there’s a joke to be told from that last sentence! The Western Word comment section is open.
To add a little bit of seriousness to this section, according to my friends at GetGreenNow it takes up to 200 years for a plastic straw to decompose. About 390 million plastic straws are used by Americans each day. Each year one million seabirds and 100,000 marine animals die from ingesting plastic.
Personally, I like Trump toilet paper. Unfortunately, I could not find it on the Trump campaign website, but you can get it HERE. It’s made in China!
ONE MORE THING:
I don’t see any straws or toilet paper, but the Steve Bullock for President merch shop is open for business.
I was most surprised that a bumper sticker is $5.00 (Bernie sent me one for free), but the Bullock “Fair Shot” glass seemed reasonably priced at $10.

## END ##
The president has stepped in it and the Oval Office reeks because of it. As far as his “base”: Throw them back.
