Stamp Out Hunger:
This Saturday (May 13) is the annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive by letter carriers and other postal service employees. All you need to do is place non-perishable food in a bag by your mailbox prior to the time of your regular mail delivery. The food will be delivered to the local food bank.
More information can be found HERE. Please give!
Garth Brooks & Billings:
It’s always nice to see a big-name entertainer come to Montana. It was announced that Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood would be coming to Billings in June. MTN News reported that tickets for the first four shows in Billings sold out within an hour last week.
The good news is that they have added a fifth performance. Details about tickets can be found HERE.
Barbara Selyem is 65 years old and just graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She decided to go to college at age 59.

Singer Nicki Minaj is helping some college students with their loans. According to the Associated Press, after a fan asked the hip-hop star if she would pay his college tuition on Twitter on Saturday night, Minaj agreed to pay fans’ school costs — on the condition that they show her perfect marks. She wrote, “Show me straight A’s that I can verify w/ur school and I’ll pay it.”
A few dozen fans took her up on her generosity. Minaj said she would do it again in a couple months.
I think that is pretty cool! Read more HERE.
This is just a friendly reminder that this Sunday (May 14) is Mother’s Day. Take time to call your mother, go visit her, or if your mother has passed, share some memories of her with your children.
God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers. – Rudyard Kipling
Happy Mother’s Day!
