Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Here we are just a week from Christmas! No, I do not have my shopping completed yet. Best of luck to all of you who will brave the stores looking for that perfect gift during this last week. I’ll be among you!
Here in Montana, we are going through a cold spell. I think that Saturday morning the temperature made down to -23 below zero! It’s tough on everything when it’s that cold.
So I worry about things. I worry about my vehicles breaking down. I worry about pipes freezing. I worry about the power going out. I worry and worry and worry…
I often forget to pray about it – but I am getting better!
God tells us that we don’t need to worry. It’s like we have a hotline to call to discuss our worries:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
So when the anxiety of the season or the weather or the problems of life start to get you down, call on God to help you – the lines are open!
Have a great week!
