Terrific News Tuesday

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. – Norman Vincent Peale

Hey kids – welcome to March! It’s also Super Tuesday for you political junkies, plus it’s time for another edition of Terrific News Tuesday (TNT)!

In case this is your first time reading TNT, this column is all about good news. I know it’s hard to believe, but I won’t be complaining or criticizing anyone or anything today – just writing about some terrific news that caught my attention!

Here is some of the good stuff in this edition of TNT:

  • Maci Lilley
  • Walk-In Express Clinic
  • Presidential Candidates & Montana
  • Edward Byers Jr
  • REO Speedwagon

Maci Lilley:

Many of us were alerted that 4-year old Maci Lilley of Wolf Point had been kidnapped when our weather radios and/or cell phones alerted us about an Amber Alert for Maci.

The wonderful news is that after about 38 hours Maci was found alive and in good health. (GF Tribune)

Thanks to everyone who sprang into action to look for Maci.

Walk-In Express Clinic:

When I first heard about a new service from the Walk-In Express Clinic I thought it was a great idea. Here in Great Falls, the Walk-In Express clinic has recently started offering a free online service that’s making a trip to their clinic a little easier and more convenient for everyone. This service lets patients go online, reserve an appointment time at the clinic and do their waiting at home.

I know I hate to sit and wait in the doctor’s office, so this new way to schedule appointments is pretty good news to me. Check out their website HERE.

Presidential Candidates & Montana:

The good news is that the candidates for President of the United States have not forgotten about Montana. As of this morning, there are eight candidates whose paperwork has been processed or is pending to be on the ballot in Montana.(MT SOS)

We have Trump and Clinton, Rubio and Sanders, Bush and Cruz and Kasich. We also have someone named Michele Ann Touchett Gess. She is a Democrat, but it looks as though she ran for President as a Republican in the past.

Is this a great country or what?

Edward Byers Jr:

Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward Byers Jr. is the first living, active duty member of the Navy to receive the Medal of Honor in four decades. (AP)

We have been fortunate throughout our nation’s history to have people like Senior Chief Byers protecting us. God bless them all.

REO Speedwagon:

The good news is this is the time of year when bands start announcing their tour dates for summer and for the remainder of the year. If you follow me on Twitter, then you were one of the first to know that REO Speedwagon, Def Leppard, and Tesla will perform in Billings at the MetraPark on September 14, 2016. (MetraPark)

I’ve seen REO in concert probably 25 times in my life – from Arrowhead and Royals Stadium and Kemper Arena in Kansas City and at the University of Missouri in Columbia to Great Falls, Billings, and Three Forks, Montana, to Silver Mountain in Kellogg, Idaho.

It will be a great show!
