Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. – Charles R. Swindoll
Hey kids…it’s time for another edition of Terrific News Tuesday!
In case this is your first time reading Terrific News Tuesday (TNT), this column is all about good news. I know it’s hard to believe, but I won’t be complaining or criticizing anyone or anything today – just writing about some terrific news that caught my attention!
Here is some of the good stuff in this edition of TNT:
- 2016 Elections
- New Lt. Governor
- Ugly Christmas Tree
- Vladimir Putin
- Pope Francis
If you are a political junkie (like I am), the good news is we should start seeing more and more candidates throwing their hats into the political ring! Here in Montana, candidate filing opens January 14, 2016, and closes March 14, 2016. More info can be found HERE.
This is your chance to make a difference!
New Lt. Governor:
It was good to see that Mike Cooney was sworn in as Montana’s 32nd lieutenant governor Monday morning. (Source)
Someone once said, elected officials are first sworn in and then they spend their term getting sworn at.
Good luck to Lt. Governor Cooney!
Ugly Christmas Tree:
In Reading, Pennsylvania, the city’s Christmas tree was so ugly they decided to take it down before Christmas.
But before it came down, something good happened and that’s the terrific news. Read about HERE.
Leaders Number One:
The good news is that if you admire Russian President Vladimir Putin, you can now purchase perfume that is “inspired” by him. The new perfume is called “Leaders Number One” and is now on sale in Moscow. (Source)
It’s just $95 a bottle…
More Good News:
The good news is that the Pope and I agree that there needs to be more good news!
In his year-end message, Reuters reported that Pope Francis said the media should give more space to positive, inspirational stories to counterbalance the preponderance of evil, violence and hate in the world.
Amen to that…
