Oh man, I am more than ready for football season to start. The NFL teams are in camp now and this Thursday is the first night of preseason games. This Thursday!!
Since many of us were thinking we might not have a season, the preseason games are very much welcome. There will be four weeks of preseason games. You can check out the schedule HERE.
It looks like each day there are preseason games, at least one game will be carried nationally by Fox, ESPN, CBS, NBC, or the NFL Network.
Preseason is also the time for us fans to get in “game-viewing” shape. This is serious stuff.
It might be time to upgrade that old television and get one with a larger screen! It’s also time to change the batteries in the remote. You might also check and see how long it takes you to get to the refrigerator and back to the game – maybe you need a TV in the kitchen or a refrigerator in the “man cave” to make things easier. We sure wouldn’t want to lose you to an injury from an accident (like falling down the stairs when carrying a plate of food or beverages) would we?
Plan ahead! If you don’t think you are ready for this football season, you might want to go through a couple two-a-day practices to get ready (which means watching two football games in one day).
The real fun begins on Thursday, September 8 with the New Orleans Saints visiting the Green Bay Packers. NBC has the game. The Super Bowl will be played on February 5 in Indianapolis. The Kansas City Chiefs will be playing in this game…their opponent is yet to be determined…
Besides watching as many NFL games as humanly possible, the highly-skilled staffers here at The Western Word will be following some college football in the Big Sky, the Frontier, and in the Big 12 conferences. Yes, we’ll be following some high school teams in Montana and even some in the Midwest. We just love football…
So if you want to keep up, follow The Western Word on Twitter @TheWesternWord.
