Monday’s Quick Hits: Bullock & Assault Weapons, & TWW Poll

The Second Amendment says we have the right to bear arms, not to bear artillery. – Robin Williams

Montana Governor Steve Bullock, a Democrat, is getting a few minutes of fame. On Sunday he told CNN’s Jake Tapper that he would support a ban on semiautomatic firearms.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that this is the first time Bullock has said he would “support a ban on some semiautomatic weapons.”

It wasn’t long before the Washington Post, and other news organizations picked up the story.

Breitbart put it this way:

Gov. Steve Bullock (D) announced Sunday that he would support prohibiting Montana residents from buying and possessing commonly owned semi-automatic firearms.

When I heard the comments, my first thought was that Bullock must have decided to never run for statewide office in Montana again.

Today’s poll asks, “Do you agree with Gov. Steve Bullock’s comments on CNN about banning assault weapons/some forms of semiautomatic weapons?”
