Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

I enjoy watching sports. When I was younger I enjoyed playing sports. I enjoyed the competition. I am the type of person who likes to win, and I have been known to get a little sore at losing.

Several years ago, I officiated flag football for two seasons and I was shocked at how parents and coaches acted during the games. Several times I had to stop the games and tell coaches to “knock it off” when they were yelling at me. One time I had to stop the game and tell a parent to get off the field as they had run onto the field screaming and pointing that I missed a player holding another player.   Continue reading →
