First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

There has been a lot of talk recently about a plan to build a mosque near Ground Zero (two blocks away). Supposedly you won’t be able to see Ground Zero from the mosque (if it’s built). For those readers who don’t follow religion, a mosque is a place of worship for the followers of Islam. Continue reading
