On the Christian radio station Air1 they have a segment called “59 Seconds of Hope” during which a pastor gives a short sermon. They have three or four pastors that participate. They give great short messages that make you think.

Air1 plays Christian music that is more for the younger generation, so short sermons are a great way of reaching out to them. By the way, I’m all for short sermons!

I listen to Air1 when I am out for my daily walk/jogs and find that the station lifts my spirits. I am not part of the “younger generation,” just young at heart.

Just the other day one of the pastors said something about heaven that caught my attention. I could not find the exact quote, but he said something like this:

As Christians, our time here on earth will be the worst time we will ever have.

He added something like, so if you are somewhat happy now, wait until you get to heaven.

That was a “Wow!” moment for me.

In Luke 23:43 Jesus says heaven is paradise. I am looking forward to it.
