The Sunday Message

So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.Romans 10:17 (NLT)

I admire former President Jimmy Carter. He was a one-term President, but his work after he left the White House has been remarkable.

Showing the world his faith in God after being diagnosed with brain cancer may be his greatest accomplishment – it’s inspiring.

Three days after receiving radiation treatment for cancer, former President Jimmy Carter taught a lesson about faith in his church during in Sunday school. (Source) More than 700 people attended. (Source)

He’s been teaching Sunday school since he was a teenager. Now he’s 90 years old. I imagine he will continue teaching Sunday school as long as he physically can. His church has already cut back on the number of people who can attend Carter’s lessons.

Jimmy Carter is still touching lives by showing his faith in God. That’s something that all of us should strive to do.

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.James 1:12 (NIV)
