OPERATION EPIC FURY:
Several sources are reporting that the Trump administration is sending more than 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East by the end of April 2026. This buildup is intended to increase pressure on Iran as a fragile two-week ceasefire, established after joint U.S.-Israeli strikes in February, is set to expire on April 22.
These reinforcements will join approximately 50,000 U.S. personnel already stationed in the region.
2026 MONTANA CAMPAIGN NEWS:
Candidate profile…
The Montana Free Press (MTFP) has published a candidate profile on Republican Al Olszewski, who is running in Montana’s Western Congressional District (MT-01) to replace Ryan Zinke.
Check it out HERE.
MT-01 GOP Debate…
It looks like only two of the four Republican candidates running for Congress in MT-01 will show up for the debate in Bozeman on April 21.
According to the Montana GOP website:
Join the Montana Republican Party on Tuesday, April 21 in Bozeman for the MT-01 Congressional Republican Primary Debate.
This is a great opportunity to hear directly from Congressional candidates Aaron Flint and Al Olszewski, as well as a chance to “meet & greet” local candidates for the Montana legislature!
Apparently, Christi Jacobsen and Ray Curtis will not be participating.
Montana GOP Honor Roll…
The Montana Republican Party (MTGOP) Executive Board passed a resolution on Tuesday placing 42 Republican legislative candidates on its “Honor Roll” for their fidelity to the principles outlined in the Republican Party platform and efforts to represent Montana Republican voters.
As you might guess, the Honor Roll consists of the extreme MAGA members of the party who put the party above all else. These people have sold their souls to the MAGA way of life.
You can read the full resolution HERE.
ANOTHER WAR VOTE:
The Associated Press is reporting that the Republican-led Senate on Wednesday rejected the latest Democratic attempt to halt President Donald Trump’s war in Iran, turning aside a resolution that would require the U.S. to withdraw forces from the conflict until Congress authorizes further action.
The 47-52 vote was the fourth time this year that the Senate has voted to cede its war powers to the president in a conflict that Democrats say is illegal and unjustified.
Montana’s Republican U.S. Senators Steve Daines and Tim Sheehy both voted “Nay” on the resolution. (Source)
ONE MORE THING:
The reason I don’t like Facebook’s “Memories” feature is because it shows me six years ago wearing the same shirt I have on right now.
