Tuesday’s Quick Hits

Hello! Here are the topics for today’s column:

  • The Epstein List
  • Texas Floods
  • Kennedy & Food Dyes
  • One More Thing

THE EPSTEIN LIST:

This news was a head-scratcher.

President Trump’s Justice Department and FBI have concluded they have no evidence that convicted sex offender and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein blackmailed powerful figures, kept a “client list” or was murdered, according to a memo detailing the findings obtained by Axios. (Source)

I recall that back in February, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked by Fox News about the Jeffrey Epstein client list and responded, ‘It’s sitting right now on my desk to review.” (Source)

Beam me up, Scotty!

I still believe that President Trump will pardon Epstein’s girlfriend and associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving 20 years in prison for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors. (Source)

TEXAS FLOODS:

I have been praying this week for the folks affected by the floods in Texas. Over 100 have died, and several are still missing. Please join me in praying for Texas.

One of the saddest stories was about sisters Brooke and Blair Harber. They died following the Texas flood disaster on Sunday, July 4, and were found dead with their hands “locked together,” according to their aunt. (Source)

Sadly, some people have brought politics into the disaster. This is not the time.

CBS News takes a look at the emergency warning system in that area, HERE

KENNEDY & FOOD DYES:

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. should leave M&M’s alone! “Leave M&M’s Alone” would make a great protest sign!

The New York Times reported that less than three months after he declared war on synthetic food dyes, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has already secured the cooperation of the makers of some of America’s most colorful culinary products. If they fulfill their promises, Jell-O snacks, Kool-Aid beverages, and Lucky Charms cereals, among a host of other foods, will be rid of synthetic dyes by the end of 2027.

But the candy industry and its most colorful chocolate treat, M&M’s, are a big obstacle standing between Mr. Kennedy and the ability to claim total victory.

Isn’t anything sacred these days?

ONE MORE THING:

Very true…

When you’re young and you drop something, you just pick it up. When you’re older and you drop something, you stare at it for a while, wondering if you actually need it anymore. (Source)
