MONTANA SUPREME COURT:

It is becoming very common to see headlines in the Montana media reporting, “State Supreme Court strikes down…”

I think it is because the MAGA-controlled Montana Legislature does not want to follow the Constitution. 

This time, the Montana Free Press (MTFP) is reporting the Montana Supreme Court ruled Monday that a trio of abortion restrictions passed by Republican lawmakers in 2021 were unconstitutional. According to MTFP, the laws would have barred telemedicine abortions, prohibited procedures after 20 weeks, and mandated the offer of ultrasounds.

We can expect to see more of these decisions from the Montana Supreme Court in the future. 

CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL:

The Associated Press (AP) is reporting that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Monday removed every member of a scientific committee that advises the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention on how to use vaccines and pledged to replace them with his own picks.

Maybe I am mostly alone in this opinion, but I trust the government health agencies like the CDC, Health and Human Services, FDA, and the National Institutes of Health. I trusted them through the COVID pandemic. 

I guess I should say “I used to trust” because with Kennedy running things, I don’t trust them anymore. 

TRUMP’S PARADE:

President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday is this Saturday, and the U.S. Army is celebrating its 250th Anniversary. By the way, Trump is too old to be President. Yes, I said the same thing about President Biden. 

So let’s have a military parade like North Korea, China, and Russia do! 

Face it, the parade is for Trump’s ego.   

USA Today reports that the military parade is slated for Saturday, June 14, in the heart of Washington, D.C., spanning six blocks and bisecting the National Mall. Organizers say the procession begins at 6:30 p.m. ET.

I have heard that the parade could cost up to $45 million.

  1. If a statement comes from trumpsky, or a MAGAt appointee, or anyone who reports to any of those…………….it’s virtually guaranteed to be a flat-out lie.

    From that standpoint, it’s actually pretty straightforward on who you might trust…..or not.

  2. Not just our government health agencies that have lost trust. We used to trust elections, too, before Trump came along.

    And frankly I’m more than a little suspicious of the official monthly government economic reports under this administration. As well as data and reports coming out of government agencies in general.
