MONTANA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD:
The Big Timber Pioneer is reporting that three Montana Army National Guard members face criminal trespassing charges from the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks after a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter that they were flying in allegedly landed on private property in the Crazy Mountain foothills of Sweet Grass County. While on the ground, the helicopter crew allegedly took elk antlers from the private ranch land, according to witnesses and officials.
The Pioneer also reported that the three guardsmen and defendants are Michael Vincent Bray, 30, from Helena, Perry Wray Woodland, 30, from Great Falls, and Deni Lynn Draper, 36, from Clancy. The men are accused of “entering posted private property for the purpose of elk antler retrieval,” reads the citations.
It was also reported that the landowner was asked by National Guard leadership and a former local law enforcement official requesting she not press charges on the helicopter servicemen.
If the “alleged incident,” as the commander of the Montana National Guard put it, turns out to be true, the senior person on the helicopter should no longer be a member of the Guard. The other two members should receive reprimands. I would have a hard time trusting individuals ever again who thought they could land a Blackhawk helicopter and steal antlers without being caught.
Those members of the Guard who allegedly tried to convince the landowner not to press charges should be dealt with harshly, also.
Will any of that happen? I doubt it. The Montana National Guard is well known for being a good old boy network. Nonetheless, they embarrassed Montana.
SURGEON GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES:
The Associated Press (AP) and other sources reported that President Donald Trump’s new pick for surgeon general, Dr. Casey Means, wrote in a recent book that people should consider using unproven psychedelic drugs as therapy and in a newsletter suggested her use of mushrooms helped her find a romantic partner.
Thousands of people now want to party with the doctor!
NFL SCHEDULE RELEASE:
The 2025 NFL schedules are out. You can click HERE to review.
My Chiefs are leading in primetime games with seven. According to the Sporting News:
The three-time defending AFC champion Chiefs lead the way with seven prime-time matchups, including their season opener in Brazil. The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles will have five games in the spotlight, a slate that begins with the first game of the season against their rival Cowboys, who have six games in prime time. Philadelphia is one of eight teams with five prime-time games, a list that also includes the Bills, Lions, 49ers, Commanders, and, surprisingly, the Falcons.
SB Nation reports that you will need to watch the NFL on nine (Yes, NINE) different services or channels in 2025. According to SB Nation:
In order to watch every NFL game this season, you’ll need Amazon Prime, Netflix, Peacock, and YouTube in addition to ESPN (streaming or cable) plus YouTube TV with or NFL+ for NFL Sunday Ticket. Paramount+ (the CBS streamer) and the new Fox One streaming services will have Sunday afternoon games if you don’t have cable or an antenna. That can add up pretty quickly. (Source)
ONE MORE THING:
I’d rather live next door to someone who crossed a desert to become an American than an American who wouldn’t cross the street to help a foreigner. (Source)

Cross a desert then do this.
”The Arapahoe District Attorney’s Office has come under fire after it gave an unlicensed illegal alien teenager, 15, probation for killing a 24-year-old woman in a car accident.
Two years’ probation, which includes 100 hours of community service, required school, and a promise not to break any laws.”
I don’t agree with the sentence. He broke the law by coming in illegally and now murder with a vehicle. Crazy.
