BEST & WORST STATES FOR DOCTORS:
There’s some good news for Montana! According to the personal finance website WalletHub, Montana is the best state for doctors.
To identify the best states for doctors (and for patients who want the best care), WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 19 key metrics. The data set ranges from the average annual wage of physicians to the number of hospitals per capita to the quality of the public hospital system.
Here is what WalletHub stated about Montana:
Montana is the best state for doctors, and it boasts one of the top hospital systems in the country. Nearly 82% of patients in Montana gave their hospital a score of 9 or 10 on a scale of 0 to 10. Montana doctors are also well compensated. For example, the state has one of the highest average incomes for anesthesiologists, at nearly $372,000, in addition to high yearly incomes for psychiatrists and surgeons, who earn above $260,000 and almost $400,000 on average, respectively.
The Treasure State is also good on doctors’ mental well-being, as it has the lowest physician burnout rate. That bodes well for medical residents who train in Montana, as nearly 63% of them end up staying in-state, the second-highest retention rate in the country. Additionally, Montana enjoys both a high number of hospitals per 100,000 residents and physician assistants per 1,000 residents.

TRUMP AND THE COURTS:
I suspect we are heading for a constitutional crisis in our country. President Donald Trump believes the courts can’t touch him since he is President. He wants to impeach judges who rule against him. He was specifically referring to the judge who tried to block deportation flights.
It’s a typical MAGA response when they don’t get their way. We see these tantrums in Montana from the MAGAs all the time.
Trump has never had anyone tell him no in his life. We have checks and balances in this country to prevent people like Trump from going rogue.
On Tuesday, the Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts rebuked the President. In a rare move, he issued a statement:
“For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.” (Source)
Later in the day, a federal judge blocked enforcement of President Donald Trump’s executive order banning transgender people from military service on Tuesday, the latest in a string of legal setbacks for his sweeping agenda. (Source)

SECRET SERVICE PROTECTION:
When I heard that President Donald Trump ended the Secret Service protection for former President Joe Biden’s two adult children, I thought it was a classless move.
The Associated Press (AP) reported that former presidents and their spouses receive life-long Secret Service protection under federal law, but the protection afforded to their immediate families over the age of 16 ends when they leave office. But outgoing presidents can extend protection for those who might otherwise not be eligible for up to six months after they leave office, something Biden did for his children and Trump did for his family after leaving office in 2021. Former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush also extended protection for their families for a period.
With actions like this, it shows what an a-hole Trump is.

There are no more checks and balances on Trump. The judiciary has no real power without agreement on respect for the law and the rule of law, and Trump has none of that. His DOJ is declaring it decides the law not the judiciary. And this Congress isn’t going to do a single thing.
“The Roberts Court” is going to get very poor treatment from historians. They created this, first with Citizens United and then with the immunity decision. The court that ended the American constitutional republic and created a new king. That’s your legacy justice Roberts.
Every time trumpsky opens his mouth and starts ranting, you can hear Roy Cohn’s voice. Old man trump gave Cohn to his son as a mentor.
Cohn taught him: Never admit a mistake. Never apologize. When confronted, double down and accuse the opponent of your own crimes.
Those were the same things he had taught Joe McCarthy a generation earlier. Cohn was probably the most innately evil person since Joseph Goebbels.
