TEN COMMANDMENTS:

As I said earlier this month, I am a Christian and I believe in the Ten Commandments, but I don’t think the Ten Commandments should be displayed in public schools.

Lee Enterprises is reporting that the Montana State Senate on Saturday voted down a bill from Republican State Senator Bob Phalen that sought to require the Ten Commandments be posted in every public school classroom in the state. It was the second time Senate Bill 114 was killed in the Senate this month, but after Saturday’s vote, the body voted to indefinitely postpone the proposal, meaning it is effectively dead for the session.

It’s good to see a little bit of common sense prevailing in the Montana Legislature.

MANSFIELD METCALF DINNER:

The Montana Democratic Party announced that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will deliver the keynote address for the Mansfield Metcalf Dinner on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

The Montana  Democrats must have picked a good person to keynote the dinner considering some of the comments on social media from the MAGAs in the state. The name-calling by the MAGAs was a little juvenile, but they have a newfound spirit of invincibility, and using schoolboy humor is one of their methods of operation.

The Mansfield Metcalf Celebration is the Montana Democratic Party’s biggest event of the year. The event will take place in Helena at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds beginning at 5:30 PM. More information can be found HERE

60 MINUTES & USAID:

If you really want to tick off the MAGA folks, watch the segment from 60 Minutes titled, “With the dismantling of USAID, is the Trump administration defying the Constitution?”

The report contends that USAID was dismantled on Trump’s order even though it was mandated by Congress and its funding was required by law.

In the past, I had faith that disagreements between the branches of government would ultimately be decided by the courts and that would be it. I think that Trump believes he is above the law and recently channeled Napoleon on social media saying, “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.” (Source

CONGRESSWOMAN CLAUDIA TENNEY:

In case you missed it, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-24) introduced the Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act to officially designate June 14 as a federal holiday to commemorate President Donald J. Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day.

According to Tenney:

Born on June 14, 1946, President Donald J. Trump’s birthday coincided with Flag Day, which is observed annually and recognizes the anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official US flag in 1777. This legislation would permanently codify a new federal holiday called “Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day” on June 14 to honor this historic day.

“No modern president has been more pivotal for our country than Donald J. Trump. As both our 45th and 47th President, he is the most consequential President in modern American history, leading our country at a time of great international and domestic turmoil. From brokering the historic Abraham Accords to championing the largest tax relief package in American history, his impact on the nation is undeniable. Just as George Washington’s Birthday is codified as a federal holiday, this bill will add Trump’s Birthday to this list, recognizing him as the founder of America’s Golden Age. Additionally, as our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, we should create a new federal holiday honoring the American Flag and all that it represents. By designating Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day as a federal holiday, we can ensure President Trump’s contributions to American greatness and the importance of the American Flag are forever enshrined into law,” said Congresswoman Tenney. This sounds like something U.S. Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) would do to score points with Trump. The Bill is HR 1395

This Bill is a waste of time.

ONE MORE THING:

For the first time in history, you can simply post, “He’s an idiot,” and 90% of the world will know whom you’re talking about.

  1. You reported, “The name-calling by the MAGAs was a little juvenile…”
Only “a little juvenile”?? That sounds like some of the MAGAts may be growing up…..a little.

Naaah! They’re too devoted to their temper tantrums when 6 or 8 of the loosest nuts fall out of their tree and hold their breath until they turn blue,

Although, I have to admit they’re fun to watch. Our tax dollars at work.
