Greetings! Here are the topics for today’s column:

SHEEHY CAMPAIGN AD:

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy has a new campaign ad airing. It is called “Why.” In the 30-second ad, Sheehy, in part, says: 

“During this Senate campaign, Jon Tester and his dark money allies have attacked my service as a Navy SEAL. They’ve spent millions attacking my Montana business and lying to you about my commitment to our public lands and our Healthcare.” 

Even Sheehy’s supporters are whining about him being attacked. It’s a bullshit excuse. It’s politics. I did not know that Navy SEALS were so sensitive. 

Sheehy has told so many whoppers about his service that he needs to be questioned. He said he received a bullet wound in Afghanistan, but it appears he received it in Glacier National Park. He said during his training that he parachuted into Glacier National Park, which Park officials and the Navy contend did not happen. 

Sheehy has used his service as a Navy SEAL to promote himself and his candidacy. Voters need to know the candidates’ backgrounds.  

Likewise, his business is fair game. Bridger Aerospace reported losses of more than $77 million in 2023. (Source) Two of his former employees have filed a lawsuit against the company over the alleged breach of contract. (Source)

As for healthcare and public lands, he has been recorded saying he wanted “pure privatization” of healthcare. He was recorded saying he would like to see public lands “get turned over to states or even counties.”

There are 14 days until Election Day. Sheehy is trying to run out the clock without answering questions about his bullet wound, parachute story, plagiarism, etc. If you search the internet, you will find that Sheehy’s negative issues have taken most of the headlines over the good things.  

He and his campaign are probably not sleeping very well at night. 

2024 MONTANA SENATE VOTERS GUIDE:

I received the nonpartisan candidate guide in the mail the other day. It is also available on the Internet. There are about 17 issues for the U.S. Senate candidates in Montana. 

One interesting question asked: Did Joe Biden win the 2020 Presidential election? Sheehy – “Unclear. When asked by a reporter, declined to comment.”

BASEBALL & BASKETBALL:

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees face off in the Major League Baseball World Series. The first game is Friday night in Los Angeles. It starts at 6:08 (Mountain Time). FOX is televising the games. (Source)

The WNBA crowned a new champion! It was a great series. After five games and an overtime battle, The New York Liberty defeated the Minnesota Lynx in Game 5 (67-62) to win the 2024 WNBA Championship, their first title in franchise history. Jonquel Jones is named the 2024 WNBA Finals MVP after averaging 17.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists through the Finals series. (Source)

My Kansas City Chiefs are the last undefeated team in the National Football League. They are 6-0. This is the first time in QB Patrick Mahomes’ career that they have been 6-0.

    • Native Vote 2024. Already in trouble with Montana tribes for his disparaging and racist comments about Native Americans, Montana GOP senatorial candidate Tim Sheehy was caught on tape during a campaign stop in August erasing the tribal influence in the state prior to European contact.

      Speaking at a campaign event in Maxville Montana, Sheehy referred to the territory that is now the state on Montana as “a backwater, vacant land of not a whole lot going on,”

      On a clip obtained by Native News Online, Sheehy told his campaign audience: “In a very short period of time, we went from being a backwater, vacant land of not a whole lot going on, and we came here and turned this into an amazing nation with the strongest economy that saved the world time and time again.”

  3. Why, shady, why? Easy answer. Because you’re a freaking joke, man! A phony, and Montanans can spot a phony a mile away. And not real bright to boot! You start messing with public lands where we all hunt, and you’re toast! There’s no comin’ back from that.

    I know. I’m very familiar with the hunting community of average Montanans. You might be a big hit with your out-of-state billionaire buddies who don’t mind coughing up 2,500 bucks to hunt on your dude ranch, but the rest of us depend on public land to fill the freezer. You committed the unforgivable sin in Montana, messing with our hunting rights. Only a real dumbazz would do something that stupid. It’s kinda like insulting our Native population. You’re never gonna live that down either. Guess that’s why real Montanans laugh at you behind you back!

    So you can take your “public lands belong in public hands” crap back to wherever you came from. We know what that means, ‘cause we already OWN them! Oh BTW, we don’t like whiners either! So quit with the poor me act. It’s unbecoming for a vet! Makes you look like a wimp.
