Democrats Handed Senate Boost as Jon Tester Five Points Ahead in New Poll

U.S. Senator Jon Tester, a Democrat from Montana, has a 5-point lead over his Republican challenger Tim Sheehy in a crucial 2024 Senate election, a new poll shows.

A Napolitan News Service survey of 540 registered voters in Montana found that the incumbent was ahead of the Republican by 49 percent to 44 percent in what the polling group called the “most important Senate race” of the 2024 elections.

One of the interesting parts of the poll showed that 16% of Trump voters in Montana would vote for Tester.

I know that both candidates are doing internal polling and know which polls are closer!

I am still traveling. So far I have visited Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

    • Ya know Larry, if we could just jail Trump, get rid of MAGA, end the Electoral College, stack the Supreme Court, ban voter ID, and censor free speech we could save democracy.

        You forgot one more. FREEDOM, for women to make their own health care decisions. I get incensed every time I see those ugly, burly, knuckldragging MAGA men in the legislature bullying and insulting women by demanding that everyone must adhere to their bizarre beliefs. It’s sickening and perverse. But it’s apparently how they get their jollies!

        BTW, did you even listen to Vance’s speech? I happen to think that democracy has served us pretty well over the last two hundred years or so. I’m not ready to give up on it for a fascist wet dream!

  7. I was recently contacted by a poster who was clearly hired by Tim sheehy. The questions were based on GOP disinformation and misinformation. I did not hesitate to let the pollster know what I thought of his questions.

  8. Both polls don’t tell us if the respondents are likely voters or how many were R’s or D’s.

    • With the 2nd poll showing people thinking Sheehy would do a better job on abortion, it’s kind of indicative that sample was a pretty right leaning crowd.

      Though it is hard to tell why any of them would have a firm opinion one way or the other on the job Sheehy would do on any issue, since has zero public service record to examine. As well as zero concrete policy proposals.
