CASCADE COUNTY ELECTIONS:
Over at the blog, “What the Funk 406” (WTF406) there’s a post that everyone should read about the selection of the Elections Administrator by the Cascade County Commissioners.
The information contained in the report from WTF406 should alarm everyone. They report:
Thanks to Ann Brust filing an information request with the county, we can see exactly what the scores of each of the county commissioners in the selection process were. It reveals a rogue county commissioner manipulating a government hiring process to hand the job to a person she worked alongside opposing the Big Sky Country National Heritage Area back in 2020. At that time Terry Thompson (the new Elections Administrator) was CEO of the Great Falls Realtors Association and (Rae) Grulkowski was one of the main organizers of the opposition, which was steeped in ridiculous conspiracy theories about people losing their property rights if the Heritage Area was established.
There are questions about County Commissioner Rae Grulkowski even participating in the process since she is up for reelection. After reviewing the scoring matrix, it is apparent that she got her person to finish first (Thompson). The interesting thing is the other two commissioners (Briggs/Larson) had Rina Moore as the top candidate.
Rina Moore was my top pick. Terry Thompson has no experience and finished last in my “scoring matrix.” Briggs and Larson had Thompson ranked third and fourth.
The county attorney should be looking into this disaster. I hope someone takes the county to court for screwing around and creating distrust in our elections.

A BLOODBATH FOR THE COUNTRY:
At a campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio, on March 16, 2024, former U.S. President Donald Trump said: “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.” (Source)
“It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”
Trump’s people are saying he meant an “economic bloodbath” and not like a second act of the insurrection or a civil war.
Trump says nutty things all the time and these types of remarks have become so common that we kind of overlook them. I can bet that some MAGA people headed to the store and stocked up on more ammo and non-perishable food for when the “bloodbath” day comes.

BASKETBALL & BASKETBALL:
In the first and second rounds of the NAIA playoffs, the University of Providence Argos women and the Carroll College Saints won their games and are headed to Sioux City, Iowa, for the round of 16.
I am kind of disappointed in myself. Here’s my alma mater (Providence) and I live two blocks from the McLaughlin Center where the games were played and I did not attend. These were NAIA tournament games! Shame on me.
The Argos play on Thursday at 2:00 pm Montana time. The Saints play on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Montana time. (Schedule)
In the NCAA men’s Tournament, the 68-team field is set. The #16 seeded Montana State Bobcats men’s team (17-17) was picked for one of the “first four” games and will play #16 seeded Grambling (20-14) Wednesday afternoon at 4:40 p.m. Montana time. It will be televised on TruTV. The winner will play #1-seeded Purdue on Friday. (Bracket)
ONE MORE THING:
Spring begins on Tuesday, March 19 (Tomorrow) – is this a great country or what?

Come on, people. Stop picking on Miss Kitty Litter. She’s a MAGA, and as such, she deserves a little slack for being kinda slow and unqualified. Kinda like Grulkowski. Like all MAGAs, they have special needs!

Is it really surprising to anyone that Grulkowski would do what she did?
Not really. It’s a circus. Cascade county is the laughingstock of Montana. -Thanks, JmB
Yes, in the sense that I’ve heard her speak on a number of occasions, and read her truly bizarre diatribe that she wrote at ECB, and I’m surprised that she’s smart enough to be so devious. I assumed that she’s either not too bright or just plain mentally ill. Sumthin’ real wrong goin’ on in that noggin to produce such world class incoherent thought.
