THE WESTERN WORD POLL:
This week the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case involving a high school football coach who was reprimanded for postgame prayers on the football field’s 50-yard line. The coach. starting in 2008, began kneeling on the football field after games and conducting a brief prayer. Eventually, many of his players joined him, as did members of opposing teams. This continued without formal complaint until 2015, when the school told Kennedy to stop. The case is Kennedy v. Bremerton School District. (More Background)
This week’s poll question asks, “Should the U.S. Supreme Court side with Kennedy or Bremerton?”
The results will be posted later this week.
MAKING MONTANA PROUD:

COMMENTS ON TWW:
I sincerely enjoy reading the comments left on The Western Word. I learn a lot from my readers. I also enjoy the back and forth that happens between commentators.
The best way for you to have your comments approved is to be commenting on something in the current post. If it does not, they will probably be sent to trash.
You can always alert me to news or information by sending me those things in an email.

I watch football games because I want to watch football, not protests or prayers. The last few years I watched a lot less football.
Bill- it seems the networks stopped showing a lot of the pregame stuff like the anthem.
Thanks, JmB
The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. And more guns. And easier access. Guns taking #1 spot in cause of death for kids and teens prove that approach to gun violence is working splendidly.
But as the Republican rep said after he got shot up during that congressional basketball game, it is merely “the cost of freedom”. Besides, it is mostly minority kids in big city neighborhoods paying that cost of freedom, so eh. But thoughts and prayers! And America isn’t racist!
Now let’s get back to what’s really important, stricter “pro-life” laws.
Terry – Good points. I think that was a congressional baseball game that was shot up, not basketball.
