Word of the Day: Impeachment

The word of the day for Tuesday was “impeachment.” Yes, the Democrats went there.

Around 5:00 pm in Washington, DC, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the House would begin a formal impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

It did not take the Trump campaign very long to capitalize on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement. Less than two hours after the announcement I received an email from the Trump campaign titled, “Call Transcript” asking me to become a Charter member of his “Official Impeachment Defense Task Force.”

They are even double-matching contributions! There was not a call transcript attached to the email, though. I guess that was another Trump lie. If we do get to see the transcript from the call with the Ukraine President, check it closely for Sharpie marks.

Moving on…

Readers may remember what candidate Trump proclaimed in January 2016:

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

Maybe Trump has not shot anyone (that we know), but he has managed to change things in DC and in the country. For good or bad depends on how you feel about Trump.

Some Democrats want blood from Trump. They were pushing and pushing for impeachment and now they are closer to getting it.

I said today on Twitter that an attempt to impeach Trump will ensure his reelection. I honestly believe that.

I personally think Trump is a serial liar and can’t handle someone disagreeing with him. He does and says things that embarrass me, and I have never felt that way about another President in my lifetime.

Trump’s base of supporters will rally around him – watch for it. The far-right wackos who support him will get even crazier. People will start feeling sorry for him because he is being picked on by the Democrats! His supporters will say things like Trump is trying to create jobs, he is stopping illegals from entering the country, Joe Biden is corrupt, Trump is making China pay, and all the socialist Democrats want to do is mistreat him.

Watch for the victim card to be played over and over.

It’s time for my readers from all across the fruited plains to brush up on your impeachment knowledge! My friends at Reuters published this handy document called an “Explainer: Impeaching a U.S. president – how the process works” that you can read by clicking HERE.

God bless America!

  1. The House of Representatives has the responsibility to make the accusation and display the facts and evidence. Remember, innocent until proven guilty. If president Trump is reelected in a free and fair election then it should be accepted : until the next illegal act. Impeachment every time the law is broken , not any more and not any less. Any objective analysis of the President should conclude that he has done this to himself. He has not needed any help. Hopefully President Trump will not start a war to increase political power.
