Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do. – John Wooden
These topics caught my attention in the last 24 hours:
- Corey Lewandowski
- Cokie Roberts
- Drain the Swamp?
COREY LEWANDOWSKI:
I watched part of former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski’s testimony in front of the House Judiciary Committee Tuesday.
The first thing I thought was that Lewandowski was acting like a wise guy from a crime family who knows he will be taken care of if he protects the Don.
The second thing I thought was that hardly anyone 20 miles outside of Washington, D.C., cares what he has to say. There are more important things in this country, like mass shootings, health care, immigration, etc.
With the help of Lewandowski, the whole hearing was nothing but a shit show. The House Democrats may have helped elect the next senator from New Hampshire.
Read the Associated Press report about the hearing HERE.
COKIE ROBERTS:
Proving once again that strong women scare him (even dead ones), President Donald Trump slammed the recently deceased Cokie Roberts when he said the following which was reported by USA Today:
“I never met her. She never treated me nicely. But I would like to wish her family well. She was a professional, and I respect professionals. I respect you guys a lot, you people a lot. She was a real professional. Never treated me well, but I certainly respect her as a professional.”
I guess it is all about him. Trump seems to be lacking in the manners department when it comes to talking about the deceased. Shameful.
DRAIN THE SWAMP?
The Associated Press (AP) reported that in less than three years, President Donald Trump has named more former lobbyists (seven) to Cabinet-level posts than his most recent predecessors did in eight years.
As for Trump’s recent predecessors, the AP reports that President Barack Obama had five former lobbyists in his Cabinet during two terms in office and President George W. Bush had three, also during eight years in the White House, according to lobbying and foreign agent disclosure records.

Is endangering a Congresswoman impeachable?
“Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said on Wednesday that President Donald Trump’s constant attacks put her life at risk.
Earlier that day, Trump retweeted a now-deleted video that, according to the Washington Post, used footage of Omar dancing at a Congressional Black Caucus event on September 13 to falsely claim she was “partying” on the anniversary of 9/11.
“Ilhan Omar, a member of AOC Plus 3, will win us the Great State of Minnesota,” Trump wrote in the retweet to his 64.4 million followers. “The new face of the Democrat Party!”
“This is from a CBC event we hosted this weekend to celebrate black women in Congress,” Omar shot back. “The President of the United States is continuing to spread lies that put my life at risk.”

Doug – I doubt it. -JmB
Trump must be impeached. Trump is corrupt, racist and immoral and acts more like a Mafia Don. He has committed an untold number of acts of obstruction of justice, he violates the Constitutional prohibition of accepting emoluments on a daily basis, just to start the list of crimes he has committed in office.
Jeanne Shaheen isn’t losing any sleep over a two-bit thug like Lewandowski. Lewandowski confirmed in his testimony why Trump should be impeached.
Thanks, Doug.
