Today’s independent commentary deals with these issues:
- Great Falls Public Schools
- Rudy, Rudy, Rudy
- TWW Poll: Bullock’s Comments
Great Falls Public Schools:
Last night, Sarah Dettmer of the Great Falls Tribune tweeted that the Great Falls Public Schools “school board unanimously approves budget for all budgeted funds for the 2018-2019 fiscal year — this includes 2% teacher and admin raises”
I’m glad to see the School Board approve the budget AND include the admin raises.
I was thinking that maybe part of the reason the Board approved it was to send some of the people who write for the E-City Beat blog further over the edge.
The administrators deserved a raise.
Rudy, Rudy, Rudy:
I think the headline from CNN kind of said it all:
Rudy Giuliani’s Sunday show appearance was a total disaster
The “Truth isn’t truth” statement that he made on “Meet the Press” was just the latest time that Giuliani went off the rails on TV.
It has a lot of people wondering why he is allowed to continue these TV appearances.
I used to think very highly of Rudy Giuliani. I once thought he would make a great President. In the past few months, he has soiled his legacy and that is too bad. He was the strong leader we needed in the aftermath of 9-11 – but since he has sided with President Donald Trump, he has tarnished that.
Just stop, Rudy. Just stop.
TWW Poll: Bullock’s Comments
Yesterday I posted a new poll on The Western Word asking readers, “Do you agree with Gov. Steve Bullock’s comments on CNN about banning assault weapons/some forms of semiautomatic weapons?”
You can vote by clicking HERE.
The poll will remain open until Thursday morning when I post the results in my “Thursday Numbers” column.
