Everyone needs a little good news once in awhile. That’s all you’ll find in this edition of Terrific News Tuesday (TNT).
There’s no griping or complaining today – just some terrific news that caught my attention!
Here is some of the good stuff in this edition of TNT:
- Horse Racing
- Montana Cash
- Brett Favre
- Becky Hammon
- John Kasich
- Keith Olbermann
Horse Racing in Great Falls:
Although I am not a horse racing fan, it’s good to see it back in Great Falls. There are two more days of racing this upcoming weekend (July 25/26). Post time is 1:00 p.m.
I hope they continue to have horse racing in Great Falls. It looks like there’s support for it here.
Montana Cash Jackpot:
The jackpot for the Montana Cash game is $340,000. The good news is that’s the largest Montana Cash jackpot in history.
You can’t win unless you play…
Favre Returns to Green Bay:
It was great to see former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre return to Green Bay to be enshrined in the Packers Hall of Fame and to have his No. 4 jersey retired.
Favre was always one of my favorite quarterbacks.
Many people may not recognize the name Becky Hammon, but she has a bright future in the NBA as a coach.
The Associated Press reported that last year the San Antonio Spurs made Hammon the first female full-time assistant coach in NBA history. Recently Hammon became the first female head coach in the NBA summer league. This week she led the Spurs to the Las Vegas Summer League championship.
Ohio Governor John Kasich:
Today one of my favorite politicians, John Kasich, will become the 16th Republican to announce that he is running for President. He’s a moderate.
Kasich has the experience that many candidates do not. Kasich was an Ohio state senator, he served in U.S. House for nine terms, he worked in the private sector, and he is serving his second term as Ohio’s governor.
By the way, the Associated Press reports that no Republican has won the White House without carrying Ohio.
There are rumors floating around that Keith Olbermann may be returning to MSNBC to host a primetime show. I think that’s great news. I enjoyed watching Olbermann when he was previously on MSNBC.
Now if MSNBC could lure Jon Stewart to their primetime lineup…
