There are people all across the fruited plains who believe that our government is spying on us and using drones to do it. We’ve seen bills introduced in states to stop the government from using drones to spy on its citizens. Some people are paranoid.
Thanks to a new campaign commercial from U.S. House candidate Matt Rosendale from Montana, we now know what his views are about drones – and we know he can shoot the drones from the sky with a freaking hunting rifle!
The good news for Rosendale is that he probably just cornered the votes from the folks who are calling themselves the Montana GOP Young Guns. Congrats!
Rosendale’s new campaign commercial is called “Rifle Shot” in which he talks about spying and other important campaign stuff. Here’s the ad:
Here’s the script:
ROSENDALE: “I’m Matt Rosendale and this is how I would look from a government drone – and this is what I think about it.”
ROSENDALE: “The federal government is too big and too powerful. More taxes and regulations put Montana families out of work. Spying on our citizens; that’s just wrong. I’m Matt Rosendale and I approved this message because I’m ready to stand tall for freedom and get Washington out of our lives.”
I watched the ad a few times, and I noticed his big belt buckle looked pretty small through the drone camera. I also noticed that he shot the drone with his rifle. I could not see the drone in the sky, so he must have a powerful scope on his rifle.
I am concerned that in the not too distant future Rosendale may be shooting down a delivery from Amazon. Maybe to mess with Rosendale, we should all order something from Amazon and send it to him…via drone.
Montanans needed this commercial to insert a little humor into the 2014 House campaign. I’m hoping his next one is about chemtrails! Besides knowing we can knock those suckers out of the sky with a rifle, Rosendale’s commercial makes the commercials from the U.S. Senate candidate Steve Daines look almost Oscar-worthy.
Speaking of Daines, his latest commercial called “Paycheck” only has 380 views on YouTube as of this morning. The one from Daines in which he used his daughters only has 1,451 views as of this morning.
In comparison, this one from Rosendale has an incredible 20,663 views as of this morning. It was just posted on Monday (04/14/14) so it is getting attention – maybe not the right kind of attention, but attention nonetheless.
If you’ve read my columns long enough, you know that I don’t worry too much about the government spying on me, and I love to poke fun at people who worry about it. Of course, I’m doing all this from “deep inside my bunker” here at The Western Word world headquarters in Montana which is stocked with cases of MREs.
Seriously though, I actually thought drones were spying on me last summer, but after low-crawling a quarter mile to my vehicle to get my binoculars, I discovered they were just big mosquitoes…
Remember readers – The Truth Is Out There – Matt Rosendale may know where to find it!
