Montana Senate 2012: Campaign Ads

So far the campaigns of U.S. Senator Jon Tester and his challenger Congressman Denny Rehberg have run several of their own campaign commercials and, they have spent a good chunk of money airing them across the state.

In two ads I feature today, Tester and Rehberg try to show their softer sides (and convince voters) they care deeply for their constituents while going the “extra mile.”  Undoubtedly we’ll see more of these ads starting in September and they might even be better than the ones we’ve already seen.  Today, I’ll examine these ads and at the end there will be a poll for you to select the best of the two.

On May 20, the Tester Campaign posted the video “Fighting for Veterans: Jon & Tomy” which is described as:

Proud Montana parents Lisa and Tim Corbett tell the story of Jon and Tomy.

Marine Lance Cpl. Thomas “Tomy” Parker, from Ronan, Montana, suffered the loss of both legs and most of his left hand after stepping on an improvised explosive device while serving in Afghanistan.

Jon Tester is a U.S. Senator from Montana who works everyday to provide for Montana’s veterans.

On June 28, the Rehberg Campaign posted the video “Palden” which is described as:

A Montana family shares their story of working with Denny to overcome a long and painful “nightmare of bureaucratic twists and turns” at the hands of their own government, to finally bring their adopted daughter home.

So now it’s your turn – Vote for your favorite of the two:
