Stutz Files for Primary Election to Represent Montana in Congress
Helena, Montana, January 12, 2012—Rob Stutz, Democratic candidate for United States Congress, filed this morning to be on the primary election ballot for Montana’s at-large seat in the United States House of Representatives. Stutz was the first candidate in any Montana race to file for the June primary election.
Stutz believes that Abraham Lincoln said it best — government should be “of the people, by the people, for the people.” Montana has one Representative in Congress for its one million residents. “When I am elected to Congress, the people of Montana will know they are getting one for a million,” Stutz said. “I will represent the people of Montana, not special interests. I don’t take special interest PAC money. I don’t sign special interest pledges.”
On August 10 Stutz launched his campaign to represent the people of Montana. Since launching, Stutz has visited towns around Montana, including Libby, Missoula, Helena, Billings, and Belfry, the Montana towns where he has lived and worked.
