An early poll was released today from Public Policy Polling (PPP) about Montana’s U.S. Senate race in 2012. You can view the results HERE (PDF).
The poll was conducted November 11-13 and 1,176 Montana voters were surveyed. The margin of error is +/- 2.9%. By the way, PPP leans Democrat according to several sources.
The poll shows Congressman Denny Rehberg leading Senator Jon Tester 48-46 (within the margin of error). Former Governor Marc Racicot leads Tester 49-42. As for the only GOP candidate who has announced that he is running, Steve Daines, he is trailing Tester 48-37.
This poll is probably good news for anyone thinking of running against Jon Tester. He is vulnerable.
