I already mentioned in a previous column about Democratic Senator Jon Tester being one of the most vulnerable Senators in 2012.
The names of several people are popping up who may run against him in 2012 and the Montana Democratic Party is worried. After the beating they took on November 2, they should be.
Today we learn they have filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against “possible” GOP Senate candidate Steve Daines. They claim Daines is running a “shadow” campaign against Democrat Jon Tester. The Montana Democrats don’t like this video.
According the Billings Gazette the Montana Democrats issued this statement:
In 2012, and as always, Montana Democrats like Jon Tester are focused on creating jobs, cutting spending, fighting for small businesses and sticking up for working families, kids, seniors and veterans.
Please.
When Tester took office in January 2007, unemployment was about 5%. Today it is 9.2%. He has lost jobs on his watch with his party in control of everything. They will still control the Senate and the White House when a new congress starts in January 2011.
Spending has increased more under the Obama Administration and Jon Tester was there voting for most of it. Debt has gone up since Tester and the Democrats controlled the Senate, House and White House.
We all remember historical high gas prices and now they are creeping back up again. Then we have Obama Care that Tester voted for that will end up harming small businesses, families, kids and seniors.
We also know that the Obama Administration has floated the idea of trying to make Veterans get private insurance.
There’s not a heck of a lot for Democrats like Tester to run on, so filing complaints with the FEC may be his only defense. Next up, look for them to trump up some ethics charges and throw in some lines about anyone running against Tester ending up in prison…
