Today I take a look at the AFC North.

If you want toughness, look no further than the AFC North. The AFC North is the home of the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It is a tough division and these teams beat each other up, which hurts them come playoff time.

This year, the only thing for sure is that the Cleveland Browns will finish last in the AFC North, but they may have some competition from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Baltimore Ravens:

They should win the division and post a 13-3 record. This may be their year, but it all depends how the secondary comes around from injuries. They added Anquan Boldin to their offense and they should be able to move the ball down the field better. Coupled with an already strong defense, they may go far into the playoffs.

Cincinnati Bengals:

Look for them to make the playoffs at 10-6 as a wild card. The Bengals added Terrell Owens to their team and it will be interesting to see how that works out in Cincy. Some are saying this is the strongest the Bengals have been in years. Staying healthy will be important. If they don’t make the playoffs, look for a coaching change.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

I pull for the Steelers unless they are playing the Chiefs, but this is not their year as they will finish 8-8 or 7-9. With the stupidity of Ben Roethlisberger hurting the team through the first four or six games (he’s suspended), the Steelers may be fighting an uphill battle most of the year. Any of the games the Steelers win without stupid Ben, will help them get to .500 or a little better at the end of the year.

Cleveland Browns:

It’s tough being a Cleveland fan these days. The Browns are almost always last in their division, the Indians are fighting it out with the Royals for last place in AL Central (MLB) and we all know that LeBron left town. Any games the Browns win will help, but there won’t be many to celebrate in Cleveland this season. (5-11)
