Due to some global warming here in Montana, I have been outside picking up leaves and cleaning up the yard for winter…if it comes this year. No blogging.
Harry Reid says that the fires in California are the product of global warming. Harry must be right because he’s the Senate Majority Leader. I thought the fires were probably George Bush’s fault, since the hurricanes were. Maybe Keith Olbermann will expand on that tonight? If he does, will anybody be watching?
It was a sad day – I pulled my tomato plants today. It was a decent season for Montana – maybe the global warming helped them some, I don’t know. I don’t give up on the green ones as they are sunning themselves inside the sliding glass door. We’ll have tomatoes for a few more weeks.
So tonight dinner will be some nice hamburgers from the grill with a nice slice of tomato on them. Throw in a veggie and some chips, and “bam” there’s dinner. Last night was pork chops from the grill. I like grilling. Heck, I just like to eat.
Then it’s on to the lazy boy to watch the World Series. It’s Boston and Colorado. Game one is tonight in Boston. I would not count this series as one that’s in the bank for Boston. Colorado beat Boston two out of three times this season in Boston. Boston has the best record of the two teams. The team with the best record has only won one World Series since 1990. The only thing I am worried about is if the Rockies can overcome the longest layoff in history before a World Series. If they can, they will win.
Boston has the second highest team payroll in Major League Baseball (MLB) (Yankees are first). Colorado is number 25. Boston has five players making $10 million or more this season, with Manny Ramirez making $17 million. Colorado has one, Todd Helton, who is making a cool $16.6 million.
One person to watch this series is Jacoby Ellsbury who plays outfield for the Red Sox. He plays the game like it should be played.
Hey, don’t worry about snow messing up the World Series when it gets to Colorado – it’s the global warming deal.
