I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people… –1 Timothy 2:1 (NIV)
It’s kind of weird, but every so often when I wake up in the morning a name pops into my mind, and I get the urge to pray for them. It could be a family member or friend or someone or some group that has suffered a tragedy.
I believe it’s God’s little way of prompting me to pray for others. I like that. I try to be obedient.
You should try it!
The other day a friend’s name came to mind who is a pastor of a church in another state. So I prayed for him and his wife. Little did I know that he and his wife were facing some difficult times in their church.
I have written a 1,200-word commentary about the situation, but I decided to hold off on publishing my thoughts on the matter for the time-being.
